Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary based, amongst others and non-exclusively, on driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition, road condition and other factors. In sub ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. See the owner’s manual or NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide for details.

RECORD-SETTING SALES PACE FOR SUBARU CANADA
5 July, 2010

June marks the eleventh month of consecutive sales growth

(MISSISSAUGA) - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today reported that buoyant sales have set a new record for June results. Total monthly sales climbed to 2,316 units, up 31.4 percent over last June. Year-to-date sales have also increased by 32.4 percent, marking the sixth consecutive month of growth in 2010. These results further solidify Subaru Canada's position as the fastest growing Japanese manufacturer in 2010.

Leading the sales charge were Subaru's Legacy and Outback models. It was a record-breaking month for the Legacy sedan with sales up 382 percent over last June, besting the previous record, set in June 2005, by 107 percent. Outback sales also rose by 368 percent over the same period last year.

"This is an exciting time for Subaru Canada," says Shiro Ohta, president and CEO of SCI. "Subaru has always been well known for its standard symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive, but more and more Canadian consumers are beginning to recognize the true driving confidence that derives from our core technology. When combined with our class-leading safety systems, desirable convenience features and inherent quality, it becomes even easier for consumers to appreciate the real value that Subaru offers."

Subaru Canada, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. of Japan. Headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, the company markets and distributes Subaru vehicles, parts and accessories through a network of over 85 authorized dealers across Canada.
