Subaru Canada Sales Surge with Best March Ever

  • March sales increase by 11.5 percent; first-quarter outcome up 20.0 percent.

  • Subaru XV Crosstrek and Forester sales jump 29.2 and 13.3 percent, respectively, over the same month last year.


  • All regions mark new sales records, yielding 11.5 percent growth overall.


(MISSISSAUGA) - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today tallied three consecutive record months, reporting a first-quarter increase with sales up 20.0 percent year to date. With 3,476 units sold, March results are up 11.5 percent as month after month of continued growth leads Subaru Canada towards another banner year for 2014.


The Subaru XV Crosstrek achieved its best March ever with 611 new units of the compact crossover on Canadian roads this month, a 29.2 percent increase over the same month last year. As the volume leader for March, Forester sales boosted monthly results with 1,136 units sold, up 13.3 percent for its best March on record. Tribeca, Legacy and Outback also contributed to Subaru's sales growth with increases of 50.0, 41.1 and 18.2 percent, respectively.



These impressive results were enjoyed from coast to coast as new records were registered across Canada this March. Atlantic region sales dramatically rose by 21.2 percent over last March, while Ontario and Quebec followed suit with 18.4 and 10.4 percent increases, respectively. Western region results climbed by 4.1 percent over the same month last year, besting all previous months to achieve a new all-time record.
