Subaru Canada: Best April and Highest Sales Month on Record

  • For the first time ever, monthly sales exceeded 4,000 units.

  • Subaru WRX STI, XV Crosstrek and Forester sales advanced 102.1, 45.7 and 2.8 percent, respectively, over last April to achieve unprecedented monthly outcome.

  • Fourth consecutive record-breaking month with results up 19.2 percent YTD.


(MISSISSAUGA) - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today celebrated its highest monthly sales on record with 4,187 units retailed, an increase of 17.5 percent over the same month last year. Subaru's record-breaking momentum continues to build with four consecutive months of sales increases as results are up 19.2 percent year to date.


Subaru's volume leader, the Forester, wowed Canadians across the nation as this true SUV marked its best month ever with 1,227 units retailed, an increase of 2.8 percent over last April. Not to be outdone, the Subaru WRX STI set a blistering pace of sales performance as the all-new 2015 sports sedan secured its best month on record, up a phenomenal 102.1 percent this April with 392 units sold. Subaru XV Crosstrek sales also rose to never-seen-before heights with 740 compact crossovers retailed in one month, an increase of 45.7 percent over last April. Subaru Legacy and Outback sales also increased over last April by 70.3 and 49.1 percent, respectively.



From coast to coast, all regions saw exceptional growth with new all-time monthly records set across the board. Over last April, sales were up in the Atlantic region and Quebec by 11.3 and 12.7 percent, respectively, while the Western region followed suit and advanced 14.3 percent over the same month last year. Most notably, Ontario experienced the highest sales increases with results up 28.0 percent over last April.
