Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary based, amongst others and non-exclusively, on driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition, road condition and other factors. In sub ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. See the owner’s manual or NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide for details.

Subaru Canada: Seven Consecutive Record-breaking Months
1 August, 2014

  • Best July ever with 3,590 units sold.

  • Record-breaking July for Forester, Outback, XV Crosstrek as well as WRX and WRX STI.

  • Subaru Canada is on track for another milestone year with year-to-date results up 16.7 percent.

(MISSISSAUGA) - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is thrilled to announce its seventh consecutive month of record-breaking results as July sales jumped to 3,590 units retailed, an increase of 10.5 percent. With 2014 well underway, year-to-date results have steadily climbed to 16.7 percent as Subaru Canada remains on track to achieve its best year ever.

Leading the sales charge by units retailed were the Forester, Outback, XV Crosstrek and WRX and WRX STI. Forester retailed 1,052 units, up 12.0 percent. Though the all-new 2015 Outback was introduced during the last week of July, the midsize SUV alternative enjoyed a strong sales spike with 651 units sold, an increase of 21.0 percent over the same period last year. Subaru XV Crosstrek sales rose 14.3 percent with 622 units retailed. The all-new 2015 WRX and WRX STI also blossomed to new levels of pure sales performance with results up 72.1 percent as 296 units were retailed in July.

From coast to coast, all regions across Canada celebrated their best July ever. Ontario sales increased 16.9 percent over the same month last year; Quebec sales rose by 12.8 percent; Atlantic and Western region sales increased by 2.1 and 2.0 percent, respectively.

"The launch of the completely redesigned 2015 Legacy and Outback is bringing Canadians into Subaru dealerships - just as the introduction of the all-new 2015 WRX STI line did earlier this year," said Shiro Ohta, chairman, president and CEO of Subaru Canada, Inc. "Our steady sales growth over the course of 2014 is proof positive that Subaru has the right product at the right time for an evolving automotive market. Consumers are expecting more from their vehicles - in terms of safety, performance and versatility - and Subaru delivers on all fronts."
