Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary based, amongst others and non-exclusively, on driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition, road condition and other factors. In sub ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. Subaru Scavenger Hunt Awards 2015 Subaru WRX STI
27 February, 2015

(MISSISSAUGA) — Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI), together with the Ontario Dealer Advertising Association, is excited to award a brand new 2015 Subaru WRX STI Sport-tech Package to Satchel Ives of Toronto, Ontario. Mr. Ives won the performance sedan as the grand prize of the Subaru Scavenger Hunt, which took place over the duration of the 2015 Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto, Ontario, beginning on February 13.

“We are very excited that Mr. Ives won this beautiful car by participating in the Subaru Scavenger Hunt at the Canadian International AutoShow,” said Floyd Jones, director of central region sales for Subaru Canada, Inc. “The Subaru Scavenger Hunt was a new, ground-breaking promotion. Utilizing smartphone technology and a specially created app, the scavenger hunt directly engaged over 13,000 people over the 10-day show, through either the app or microsite. For us, that is very exciting.”

Mr. Ives won the performance sedan as the grand prize of the Subaru Scavenger Hunt

The Subaru Scavenger Hunt was an app-based game that encouraged participants to identify special Subaru clues, located throughout the show, and answer Subaru trivia questions that engaged social media through Facebook and Twitter. Once each checkpoint was found, contestants scanned a QR code leading to the next trivia question. Each correct answer equalled one entry for the grand prize and daily prizes. Completing all 10 questions and checkpoints correctly gave each participant over 10 chances to win. While the 2015 Subaru WRX STI Sport-tech Package was the top draw, 30 people walked away with great daily prizes that included a remote control Subaru vehicle as well as $500 Subaru bucks towards the purchase of a new Subaru vehicle.

“This is amazing and I can’t thank Subaru enough,” said Ives. “If I was in a financial position to purchase a car right now, I’d definitely choose to buy this one. The first thing I’m going to do is take my girlfriend for a drive!”

Contestants had the chance to check out the all-new 2015 Subaru WRX STI on display at the CIAS. Subaru’s global performance flagship model debuts for the 2015 model year as a bold new sedan, built on a stiffer chassis for even greater handling agility and precision.
Handling is further enhanced with firmer springs and faster steering (13.0:1 ratio) for an unsurpassed level of control. All of these performance enhancements optimize power delivery to take full advantage of this icon’s 305 horsepower. Active Torque Vectoring joins an arsenal of the model’s proven performance technologies. Like all Subaru models, the 2015 Subaru WRX STI line was named a TOP SAFETY PICK by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
