Highest March Sales Ever for Subaru Canada; Results up 16.1% with 4,036 Vehicles Sold

  • Subaru Outback and XV Crosstrek achieve unprecedented March results with sales up 49.9 and 12.6 percent, respectively.


(MISSISSAUGA) — Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today closed its first quarter of 2015 with its highest sales results for a first-quarter period, selling 9,256 units during the first three months of 2015 – an increase of 13.1 percent over the same period last year. Subaru sold 4,036 vehicles this March, which is a record-breaking increase of 16.1 percent over the same month last year. This March also marks the 15th consecutive month of sales growth and one of the longest sales streaks for the Japanese automaker.


Subaru’s award-winning mid-size sedan continues to lead in sales growth: The 2015 Legacy retailed 365 units this month, increasing its March sales by 83.4 percent. The Legacy was recently named Canadian Car of the Year by AJAC (Automobile Journalists Association of Canada) after claiming the segment award as Best New Family Car under $30,000. The Legacy is also a 2015 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK and TOP SAFETY PICK PLUS award winner as well as an ALG segment award winner for highest overall predicted resale value.




The 2015 Outback retailed 946 units, making this month its best March ever with results up 49.9 percent. The Outback is AJAC’s Best New SUV under $35,000, a 2015 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK and TOP SAFETY PICK PLUS award winner, as well as an ALG and Canadian Black Book segment award winner for resale value.


From coast to coast, all regions shared in Subaru’s sales success this month, enjoying the best March ever in Subaru’s sales history.
