Subaru Canada Achieves Best Ever Q3 Sales; Record-Breaking September Results

  • Subaru reaps 11.2 percent growth in September with a total of 4,234 retailed units.

  • Year-to-date sales of 35,097 vehicles is the first time that Subaru has sold more than 35,000 units within the first three quarters of a year and represents 11.7 percent growth.

  • The Subaru Outback, Forester, XV Crosstrek and WRX STI yield their best September results ever with 15.2%, 8.4%, 12.8% and 31.5% growth respectively.


(MISSISSAUGA) —Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is excited to announce an 11.2 percent growth year-over-year in the month of September with a total of 4,234 vehicles retailed. Marking the first time the company has sold over 35,000 units in the first three quarters of a year, current year-to-date results of 35,097 units reflect an 11.7 percent growth year-over-year.


September sales records were celebrated in each of Subaru Canada’s regions nationally. The Atlantic region realized a 17.4 percent surge, Ontario grew by 11.5 percent, Quebec reported 10.8 percent growth and the Western region was up 9.8 percent.



Sales were bolstered by a number of Subaru models that experienced their best September results. The volume leader for the month was the award-winning Subaru Outback. The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) awarded Best New SUV/CUV (under $35k), Subaru Outback, produced 1,078 vehicle sales, representing a 15.2 percent growth compared to last year. Subaru’s compact SUV, the Forester, was next in volume sales, with 1,017 units, reflecting an 8.4 percent increase. Subaru’s XV Crosstrek crossover also strengthened monthly results with 758 units, a 12.8 percent gain year-over-year. Also notable is the Subaru Impreza, available in 4- and 5-door iterations, which secured a 15.9 percent increase after selling 757 units, and the legendary WRX STI model lineup earned a 31.5 percent boost with 305 units.
