(MISSISSAUGA) — Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is pleased to announce the release of the 2016 Impreza, available in both 4-door and 5-door variations, at dealerships across the country in October. The 2016 Impreza follows its fun-to-drive nature and boasts remarkable versatility, safety, comfort and fuel economy with a standard PZEV engine, all in a compact vehicle. With such well-grounded roots that are attributed to all Subaru vehicles, such as the rewarding feeling of security, response and control, the 2016 Impreza checks all the boxes and offers even greater value at the same starting price: $19,995 for the 4-door sedan, and $20,895 for the 5-door hatchback.
The 2016 Subaru Impreza continues to be offered with the Subaru symmetrical full-time AWD system as standard, a 5-speed manual transmission and available Lineartronic continuously variable transmission (CVT). New to the Impreza model lineup for 2016 is a new exterior colour, Dark Blue Pearl, and an upgrade to the 7-inch infotainment system. Standard on Limited Package trims, the updated infotainment system adds Apple iPhone Siri compatibility, SiriusXM Advanced Audio Features, SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link (subscription required), and access to the SUBARU Map Update Program.
As one of the few compact cars in the industry that has been named an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK+ (when equipped with EyeSight – Subaru’s advanced driver assist system) and IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK, the Impreza has other notable accolades under its belt.
