Subaru Canada Strides Towards Unprecedented Growth with Best October on Record

  • Subaru Canada, Inc. experienced 4,401 vehicle sales in October to match the company’s current year-to-date sales increase of 11.7 percent.

  • The Subaru WRX / WRX STI, Forester, Crosstrek, and Impreza all accomplished their best October sales with year-over-year growth of 49%, 30.9%, 24.2% and 22.1% respectively.




(MISSISSAUGA) — Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is proud to announce 4,401 units retailed in the month of October, marking an 11.7 percent growth year-over-year, an increase that mirrors the company’s year-to-date success of 11.7 percent.


October sales records were celebrated in Subaru Canada’s Western, Ontario and Atlantic regions. Subaru Canada’s dealerships on the west coast of Canada realized an increase of 20.1 percent, while the Ontario region grew by 17.9 percent and the Atlantic coast achieved a 15.1 percent advance.

The volume leader for Subaru Canada’s October sales success was spearheaded by the Forester compact SUV. Earning a 30.9 percent growth thanks to 1,228 sold units, the Forester bested the Subaru Outback’s equally impressive 958 sales. Third in volume for the month was the recently released 2016 Crosstrek, which tallied 812 vehicles to represent a 24.2 percent growth. Other notable mentions for Subaru sales include the Impreza benefitting from 779 sales, up 22.1 percent year-over-year, and the WRX / WRX STI collected a robust 49.0 percent growth when compared to October of last year.
