Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary based, amongst others and non-exclusively, on driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition, road condition and other factors. In sub ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. Subaru Canada Begins 2016 with Highest January Sales on Record
3 February, 2016

  • After celebrating its fourth consecutive year of annual sales growth in 2015, Subaru Canada continues the positive momentum with 2,687 vehicle sales in January 2016, a 2.1 percent increase from January last year.

(MISSISSAUGA) — Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) announced today that they sold 2,687 vehicles across the country in January, a 2.1 percent increase year-over-year (YOY) from 2015. Coming off a historical sales year in 2015, which was the brand’s fourth consecutive year of annual sales growth with a total of 46,609 units, strong sales out of the gate in January 2016 set the wheels in motion for continued positive results in 2016.

Regional sales success was celebrated in Subaru’s Atlantic, Western and Quebec regions, where the monthly results achieved growth of 19.9 percent, 7.1 percent and 2.1 percent respectively.

Three vehicles achieved impressive January sales success including Subaru’s volume seller in January, the 2016 Forester compact SUV, retailing a total of 798 units to mark a 12.9 percent increase YOY. The 2016 Subaru Crosstrek compact crossover claimed a 9.3 percent increase with 531 vehicle sales, while the iconic Subaru WRX and WRX STI had an impressive 53.3 percent increase with a total of 253 units sold. The Crosstrek and WRX / WRX STI sales results propelled the two model lines to achieve their best January sales results ever.

"After a record 2015 sales year we are pleased that we are able to carry the positive strength into 2016 and have more and more Canadians realize the benefits of Subaru ownership,” said Shiro Ohta, chairman, president and CEO of Subaru Canada, Inc. “The entire Subaru product portfolio exudes outstanding safety, high resale value and a sense of enjoyment behind the wheel. We are glad our complete model mix is being appreciated throughout the country with the help of our fantastic dealer network.”
