Subaru Canada Roars Ahead with Best Ever March and Year-To-Date Results

  • With its best March sales ever of 4,213 units, Subaru Canada marks year-to-date sales of 9,443 units retailed in 2016, an increase of 2.0 percent over last year.

  • Crosstrek, Outback and WRX STI achieve record March sales, up 14.5, 11.6 and 38.8 percent respectively.



(MISSISSAUGA) — Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is proud to announce that 4,213 units were sold throughout Canada in March, a 4.4 percent increase over March of last year, and a 2.0 percent increase year-over-year (YOY) from 2015. After a record four consecutive years of annual sales growth, 2016 is keeping up this sales momentum with impressive results.


Regional sales were excellent, with the Atlantic and Ontario regions reporting their best March ever. Ontario achieved a marked increase of 17.7 percent over March of last year, while the Atlantic region performed superbly as well, with a 9.6 percent increase.



The Subaru Crosstrek compact crossover continues its winning ways with its best March ever, retailing 788 units for a 14.5 increase YOY. The Subaru Outback accomplished a 11.6 percent increase YOY by retailing 1,056 units, while higher sales were also recorded by the iconic Subaru WRX and WRX STI, with 329 units sold for a monthly sales increase of 38.8 percent.
