Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary based, amongst others and non-exclusively, on driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition, road condition and other factors. In sub ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. See the owner’s manual or NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide for details.

Subaru Canada Keeps Pace for Fifth All-time Annual Sales Record
2 June, 2016

  • Year-to-date sales of 19,120 units on track for fifth consecutive annual sales record in 2016.

  • Subaru Crosstrek, Forester and WRX/STI results up year to date.

(MISSISSAUGA) - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today announced year-to-date sales of 19,120 units, which is on pace with the 19,140 units retailed during the same timeframe last year. Subaru Canada celebrated its fourth consecutive annual sales record in 2015 and is on track to set a new milestone in 2016.

Year to date, the Subaru Crosstrek continues to prove it’s up for it with 3,581 units retailed, showing an increase of 11.0 percent. Subaru’s highest volume model and true SUV, the Forester, drives sales forward – increasing by 6.6 percent with 5,177 units retailed year to date. Subaru’s performance sedans, the WRX and WRX STI enjoy an incredible 25.7 percent rise with 1,620 units retailed thus far in 2016.

the WRX and WRX STI enjoy an incredible 25.7 percent rise with 1,620 units retailed thus far in 2016.

“As new product begins to arrive in Subaru dealerships throughout the summer and into fall, Subaru’s momentum will hit its full stride,” says Shiro Ohta, chairman, president and CEO of Subaru Canada, Inc. “The market outlook is somewhat flat right now. While a flat layout is an advantage when it comes to engine configuration, like the SUBARU BOXER engine, a flat market creates a challenging sales situation. With the arrival of Subaru’s 2017 models, including the WRX, WRX STI and significantly updated Forester, our strong dealer network will rebound and continue to focus on the needs of our customers to drive Subaru’s sales success towards new heights.”
