Subaru Canada’s Sales Achieve New Benchmark in October

  • Best ever October with sales up 9.7% versus the same month last year.

  • Record year-to-date sales, up 6.5 percent, keep Subaru Canada climbing towards milestone annual sales.

  • Best month ever for the Subaru Crosstrek with sales up 31.8%.


(MISSISSAUGA) — Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today announced that while the leaves dropped outside in October, Subaru’s sales rose to unprecedented heights this fall.  Tremendous October results saw sales up 9.7 percent with 4,826 units retailed. Year-to-date sales increased as well, up 6.5 percent with 42,074 units sold as the Japanese automaker surges through the final quarter of 2016 on track for its fifth consecutive annual sales record.


Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI)

Crosstrek saw not only its best October ever, but also its biggest sales month to date, up an astounding 31.8 percent over last year. Subaru’s compact crossover continued its record-breaking trend for 2016, retailing 1,070 units to set a new benchmark for its best month ever.  Not to be outdone, the Subaru Forester continued to lead the pack with an impressive 1,352 units sold, for a solid increase of 10.1 percent. October proved to be a strong month for several models, with the WRX STI up 25.9 percent to enjoy its best October ever.  The Legacy, Outback and BRZ also posted strong results, with increases of 16.6, 3.3 and 30 percent respectively over last October.
