District After Sales Manager (Western Region)
The District After Sales Manager (DASM) is responsible for ensuring that dealers within their prescribed territory
develop, implement and continually refine service, parts and warranty policies and best practices which are
consistent with the requirements and guidelines of Subaru Canada, Inc. The focus of these efforts is designed to
enhance Subaru’s brand image as well as support various volume and profitability objectives while ensuring that
Subaru customer expectations are met or exceeded to the greatest extent possible.
This role reports into Regional Executive Director, Western Region and will be based in British Columbia or Alberta.
The hiring range for this role is $100,000 - $108,000 CAD. The initial base salary offered may vary depending on internal equity and each candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills and professional experience. This recruitment is to fill a vacant position.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Region with establishing, communicating and achieving Dealer Annual Operation Plan including parts & accessory sales, service and warranty objectives, training initiatives as well as customer satisfaction targets.
- Plan for and conduct regular dealer visits and complete, as a minimum, the prescribed Dealer Contact reports to be forwarded for action and follow-up to the Dealer Principal or Service / Parts Manager; Director, After Sales – Service Operations and Regional Director.
- Review the effectiveness and efficiency of the overall dealership After Sales management and employees to ensure the consistent attainment of the standard of excellence expected by Subaru customers and to make the necessary recommendations for training, improvement and/or replacement of dealership personnel.
- Develop and follow up on the implementation of National After Sales merchandising initiatives at the Dealer level and propose innovative ideas to increase sales and profitability while heightening positive public customer perception.
- Liaise and coordinate with the Quality Assurance, Service, Customer Operations & Communications, Warranty and Legal departments, as well as dealerships, to assist in resolving customer concerns or complaints.
- When required, DASM will arrange to meet with customers and with the Manager, Field Quality, if needed, at the dealership level for inspection and authorization of various vehicle repairs and ensures that the requisite number of courtesy cars are properly prepared, made available and logged as necessary.
- Assist in promotional events to present, promote and share the Subaru driving experience, including service clinics, ride and drives, car shows, and various other promotional activities on behalf of Subaru Canada, Inc. for our dealerships.
- When required, as indicated by the Legal Department and the Region, represent Subaru at Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan (CAMVAP) and small claim courts, including pre-trials, settlement conferences and trials.
- Other related duties of a general or unspecified nature as may be required to achieve the overall objectives of the Region, the After Sales Department and/or the Company.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field preferred (college diploma or university degree).
- Demonstrated experience as a District Sales/After Sales Manager at the OEM level.
- Wholesale and retail business (automotive dealership level) experience is desirable.
- Automotive technical experience is an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant business systems.
Physical Conditions:
- Required to travel primarily within Canada.
- Ability to work remotely and from regional office, as required.
- Flexible work schedule – occasional evenings and weekends.
