Coordinator, Parts Inventory
The Coordinator, Parts Inventory ensures the availability, accuracy, and strategic management of automotive parts across Subaru Canada’s nationwide Dealer network. This role is primarily responsible for procurement planning for approximately 80% of the parts catalogue, including major components, seasonal items, winter wheel program components, and initial parts orders for new vehicle model launches. The position also plays a key role in monitoring and managing backorders, maintaining accurate ETAs, and supporting data-driven decision-making through regular querying and reporting activities. Additionally, the role supports inbound logistics monitoring, with a particular focus on the wheel program’s supply flow.
The incumbent will report to the Manager, Parts Inventory & Logistics and will be based out of Subaru Canada’s head office in Mississauga, ON.
The hiring range for this role is $60,000-$65000The initial base salary offered may vary depending on internal equity and each candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills and professional experience. This recruitment is to fill a vacant position.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels of parts to ensure availability within target parameters and prevent stockouts.
- Coordinate with logistics / internal partners to manage inbound shipment ASN’s are accurately reflected systematically.
- Work closely with service department, sales team and other stakeholders to ensuring healthy inventory levels at SCI's warehouse and within Subaru Canada's nationwide retailer network.
- Research, analyze, forecast, and procure new vehicle parts & newly launched parts / supersessions, ensuring inventory availability at launch/backorder prevention.
- Work closely with counterparts to calculate related ETA’s on shipments/ backorders
- Develop strategies to minimize excess or obsolete inventory
- Work closely with accessory team to manage winter wheel program ordering/ allocation/ logistics.
- Investigate opportunities to create efficiencies, improve processes and optimize inventory levels.
- Develop reporting to support inventory planning decisions, including seasonal demand.
- Utilize Power BI, Dynamics 365, and MS Office tools to generate key performance indicators, logistics, reporting for specific areas of coverage, identifying areas of improvement, and making data-driven recommendations to management.
- Undertake other duties as required to support team objectives.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, JIT based environment.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or University Degree in supply chain management or a related field with a minimum of 2 years' experience in inventory management, logistics coordination, or supply chain operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Strong Proficiency required in excel-including advanced functions as well as Microsoft Office Suite, PowerBI, and previous experience with Dynamics 365 would be an asset.
- Knowledge of automotive parts procurement/ industry an asset
- APICS, ACSM, CSCP, CLTD certification preferred.
Physical Conditions:
- Flexible work schedule & extra hours when required.
- Primarily Sedentary – extended use of a computer. Sometime in the PDC/ parts department as required
