Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary with driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition and road condition. In non-ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. See owner’s manual for details.

Advanced engineering,
proven Subaru capability

The 2026 Subaru Uncharted showcases a fully integrated approach to electric vehicle engineering, designed for balance, control and confidence in Canadian conditions. A reinforced e-Subaru Global Platform provides a rigid foundation and a low centre of gravity to support stability and predictable handling. Power output ranges from 165 to 338 horsepower through the single- or dual-eAxel configurations, battery pack sizes and available Symmetrical Full-Time AWD. Tuned suspension, natural steering response and 208 mm of ground clearance translate advanced engineering into everyday capability.

Subaru Electric Powertrain

The groundbreaking Subaru electric powertrain is built around compact electric e-Axles that integrate the motor, transaxle and inverter into a single, efficient unit. The Uncharted is offered with multiple output configurations to match different driving priorities. Front-wheel drive models use a single front-mounted e-Axle producing 165 horsepower (FWD) or 221 horsepower (FWD LR), delivering smooth, efficient everyday response. Sport and GT trim levels add a second rear e-Axle, increasing total output to 338 horsepower and enabling Subaru Symmetrical Full-Time AWD for balanced traction and more immediate acceleration. Power delivery is continuously managed through stability control and brake-based torque distribution, while selectable drive modes and steering-wheel regenerative braking paddles allow drivers to tailor response and energy recovery with precision.

Cold Weather Performance

Cold temperatures can affect EV range by slowing battery chemistry and increasing energy demand for cabin heating. The Uncharted is designed with this in mind. Using features such as battery and cabin preconditioning when plugged in helps conserve driving range, while maintaining proper tire pressure reduces rolling resistance. Thoughtful cold-weather preparation helps support more consistent, predictable electric performance in winter conditions.

Subaru Symmetrical Full-Time AWD

The Uncharted Sport and GT models offer Subaru’s all-electric Symmetrical Full-Time AWD, engineered for stability, traction and control in every season. With an electric motor at both axles, torque distribution happens in real time to help maintain composure on wet pavement, loose gravel or snow-covered roads. It’s the Subaru confidence you expect, translated into electric performance.

Dual-function X-MODE® with Grip Control

On the Uncharted Sport and GT models, dual-function X-MODE® adds an extra layer of control when road conditions become unpredictable. Working with Symmetrical Full-Time AWD, the system adjusts motor output and braking for Snow/Dirt or Deep Snow/Mud surfaces. Integrated Grip Control supports steady low-speed progress on slippery terrain, allowing precise steering and confident movement when traction is limited.

Downhill Assist Control

When X-MODE® is engaged, Downhill Assist Control helps manage steep or slippery descents by maintaining a controlled, preset speed. The system modulates braking and traction automatically, allowing the driver to focus on steering input. On snowy driveways, wet boat launches or uneven trails, Downhill Assist Control supports stable, composed progress on challenging downhill surfaces.

Rock-Solid Chassis

The chassis on Uncharted is engineered to balance handling precision, ride comfort and long-distance composure. A wide track and carefully optimized suspension geometry supports stability and predictable control across varying surfaces. Electric-assist power steering is tuned for clear, natural feedback, helping the driver feel connected without added effort. With generous ground clearance and precise calibration, the Uncharted remains confident on winding pavement and composed when the route turns rough, uneven or lightly off the beaten path.

e-Subaru Global Platform.

e-Subaru Global Platform

Purpose-built for electric vehicles, the e-Subaru Global Platform forms the structural backbone of the 2026 Uncharted. High-tensile steel reinforcements, integrated crossmembers and dedicated battery protection contribute to increased torsional rigidity and long-term durability. The battery pack is mounted low within the structure, helping lower the centre of gravity and support balanced handling, stable braking and a composed ride. Carefully managed weight distribution further enhances steering precision and control, while advanced sealing, insulation and structural damping reduce noise and vibration. The result is a solid, confidence-inspiring foundation that supports safety, refinement and the kind of predictable performance Subaru drivers expect.

Front Suspension

The front suspension uses a MacPherson®-type strut design with coil springs and a stabilizer bar, tuned to balance precise control with everyday ride comfort. Geometry and damping are calibrated to reduce noise, vibration and harshness while maintaining stability on uneven pavement. A reinforced stabilizer assembly helps limit body roll through corners, supporting confident steering response. Combined with a wide track and generous ground clearance, the front suspension contributes to predictable handling and composed performance across city streets, highways and lightly demanding road conditions

Rear Suspension

The rear suspension utilizes a double-wishbone design with coil springs and an anti-vibration structure to support both ride comfort and precise control. Geometry and bushing tuning are calibrated to reduce noise, vibration and harshness while maintaining composure over uneven surfaces. A rear stabilizer assembly helps manage body movement during cornering and when the vehicle is carrying passengers or cargo. Together, these elements contribute to stable, predictable handling and a refined ride quality that feels controlled and confident across a wide range of road conditions.
