Subaru Canada August Sales Soar with 34.8% Increase

(MISSISSAUGA) — Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is thrilled to announce its highest sales ever for the month of August with 4,512 units retailed, an increase of 34.8 percent. Subaru Canada’s year-to-date sales continue to skyrocket, up 5.7 percent with 32,637 units retailed to date in 2016, setting the Japanese automaker up for its fifth consecutive annual sales record.

Subaru’s compact crossover, the Crosstrek, celebrated its best sales ever in August, with an unprecedented 953 units retailed, an incredible increase of 23.6 percent. The Subaru Forester enjoyed its best August on record with 1,136 units sold, representing growth of 17.1 percent. Outback sales climbed to reach a record August with 963 units sold, up 94.9 percent over last August, while WRX and WRX STI sales rose by 82.8 percent with 477 units retailed.


From coast to coast, all regions saw their best August ever with the Atlantic up 11.5 percent, Ontario up 39.8 percent, Quebec up 37.7 percent and the western region up 31.6 percent.
