Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary based, amongst others and non-exclusively, on driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition, road condition and other factors. In sub ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. See the owner’s manual or NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide for details.

Subaru Canada Partners with St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program
22 September, 2016

  • Subaru Canada becomes signature sponsor of the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog program

  • Since 1992 the Therapy Dog Program has been helping those in need across Canada

(MISSISSAUGA) — Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.  As the program’s Signature Sponsor, Subaru will help support this valuable service that pairs trained Therapy Dog teams with those in need. As a result of this partnership Subaru hopes to continue to raise awareness, provide support and help the Therapy Dog Program continue to grow and extend its reach.

From its roots as a pilot project in Peterborough, Ontario, the program has grown exponentially over the past 24 years and today nearly 3,000 Therapy Dog teams reach thousands in need annually.  Whether offering comfort and companionship to seniors, to calming and reassuring patients during treatment, to helping relieve exam stress on college and university campuses or assisting at-risk youth and children with special needs, these canine companions offer a unique therapeutic experience.

“We are truly grateful for Subaru’s support of our Therapy Dog Program,” says Allan Smith, St. John Ambulance National Office CEO. “As a charity, we rely on corporate partnerships to enable us to continue the services provided by our volunteers in communities across Canada.”

“The Therapy Dogs program strives to assist others in an inclusive and non-judgemental manner,” says Joe Felstein, Director of Marketing for Subaru Canada, Inc. “It embodies the core values of caring and community that resonate with both Subaru as a brand and the entire family of Subaru owners.”

Subaru Canada looks forward to supporting these important community initiatives as the program continues to grow.
