Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary based, amongst others and non-exclusively, on driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition, road condition and other factors. In sub ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. See the owner’s manual or NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide for details.

Subaru Canada Presents 2018 AJAC Feature Writing Award
5 November, 2018

  • Second annual Subaru Feature Writing Award honoured Mark Richardson and first runner-up Lee Bailie.

(MISSISSAUGA, ONT.)— Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is pleased to participate in the 35th annual Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) automotive journalism awards as a sponsor of the 2018 Subaru Feature Writing Award. At the AJAC awards banquet in Ajax, Ont., SCI recognized 2018 Subaru Feature Writing Award winner Mark Richardson and first runner-up Lee Bailie.

Richardson’s award-winning feature, “The Headless Motorcyclist on the Ghost Road,” introduced the reader to the hunt for truth behind local folklore. The bilingual team of judges connected with a well-written, thoughtful article chronicling an interesting and eerie journey.

The first runner-up, Lee Bailie, had judges planning their own road trip to Bowling Green, Ky., in “Operation: Homecoming.” Judges were impressed with Bailie’s meticulous attention to detail as he provided an in-depth journey from Toronto to Kentucky to explore the National Corvette Museum.

This is Subaru Canada’s second year presenting the Feature Writing Award. The longer feature story covers a wide range of subjects. The award recognizes compelling stories that develop a connection between the author and his or her audience.
