Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary based, amongst others and non-exclusively, on driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition, road condition and other factors. In sub ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. See the owner’s manual or NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide for details.

Subaru Canada Finishes with Second Best February Sales on Record
4 March, 2019

  • Brand posted its second-best February on record with 3,069 vehicles sold, just shy of the best ever February set the previous year.

  • Strong February sales come on the heels of a milestone year in which Subaru Canada set its seventh annual sales record.

  • Legacy sedan led the way with an impressive 47.2 per cent sales increase compared to the same month last year.

(MISSISSAUGA, ONT.)—Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) posted its second best February on record as it eclipsed the 3,000-unit mark in the traditionally slow-selling month for the second time.

SCI closed the shortest month on the calendar with sales of 3,069 units, down just 5.7 per cent compared to its record-setting February the previous year.

“Our product lineup is strong and it’s only going to get stronger as the year progresses,” said SCI chairman, president and CEO, Yasushi Enami. “With an award-winning combination of safety and value, I look forward to showing Canadians what Subaru is made of.”

An impressive 47.2 per cent sales increase compared to the same month last year for Subaru’s award-winning Legacy sedan led the way for the brand, followed by the Impreza, which posted a gain of 10.8 per cent compared to the previous February.

The Impreza was recently named the best compact car in Canada for highest predicted resale value by ALG for the third consecutive year, while Subaru was named the best mainstream brand in the same awards for the fifth straight year. The Crosstrek, Outback and WRX/WRX STI also took home the top awards for their respective segments.

Additionally, Subaru led the industry with seven Top Safety Pick+ (TSP+) awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), while its DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System recently earned the Best Safety Innovation for 2019 from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).

SCI’s second-best February on record comes after a milestone year in which the brand set its seventh annual sales record in which it retailed 58,070 units.
