Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary based, amongst others and non-exclusively, on driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition, road condition and other factors. In sub ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. See the owner’s manual or NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide for details.

4 March, 2020

  • Brand posted its best February sales ever with 3,501 vehicles sold

  • Crosstrek, Forester and Outback set best ever February records

  • Regionally, the best February ever for Atlantic, Ontario and Quebec with the West achieving better than the same month last year

(MISSISSAUGA, ONT.)—Another record month for Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI), as the 2020 Crosstrek, all-new 2020 Outback and 2020 Forester piloted SCI to its best-ever February with 3,501 units sold.

Subaru’s February sales performance comes on the heels of last month’s record January. The February sales total, a 14.1 per cent increase compared to the same month last year, represents the best February ever for SCI as the brand continued its soaring start to the year.

“Subaru continues to offer customers a compelling product lineup,” explained SCI chairman, president and CEO, Yasushi Enami. “Our award-winning blend of safety and value compliments our dedication to Canadians. We look forward to continuing our early success this year.”

Leading the way, the Crosstrek achieved 1,011 units sold, representing a 57.2 per cent increase over the same month last year. Forester sales resulted in a 33.5 per cent jump at 833 units sold, while Outback finished the month with 718 units sold, up 15.6 percent from last February. All three models set best- ever February records.

This performance comes after SCI announced that eight Subaru models earned 2020 TOP SAFETY PICK (TSP) awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The Outback and Forester were awarded with TOP SAFETY PICK+ designations, a record fourteen consecutive TSP wins for the latter model. While the Crosstrek was also recognized by IIHS with a TOP SAFETY PICK title.

Regionally, the West achieved an increase over last February, while Atlantic, Ontario and Quebec regions each set their best ever February on record.
