Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary based, amongst others and non-exclusively, on driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition, road condition and other factors. In sub ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. See the owner’s manual or NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide for details.

SUBARU CANADA AWARDED TWO 2021 CANADA RESIDUAL VALUE SEGMENT AWARDS
9 February, 2021

  • Subaru Canada achieves two segment awards in the J.D. Power 2021 Canada ALG Residual Value Awards

  • Subaru Crosstrek and WRX awarded Best-in-Class and predicted to hold its value better than any other vehicle in its segment

(MISSISSAUGA, ONT.)— Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is proud to announce that two models have won top segment awards for the highest residual value in the J.D. Power 2021 Canada ALG Residual Value Awards. The Subaru Crosstrek and WRX are standouts in their respective categories with strong residual values that provide peace of mind to prospective buyers when considering vehicle depreciation, which is the most expensive aspect of vehicle ownership.

J.D. Power is the industry benchmark for projecting future residual values and depreciation data. The 2021 awards honoured vehicles predicted to hold their value better than any other vehicles in the segment.

“Our strategic planning always includes providing long-lasting value to our customers,” said SCI chairman, president and CEO Yasushi Enami. “Awards like these give us confidence that our goals are being achieved.”

In the Sports Car segment, the combination of impressive performance and year-round versatility helped secure the sixth straight win for the Subaru WRX.

The Crosstrek took home top honours in the Subcompact Utility segment. Its sixth consecutive segment win, the Crosstrek has never finished outside of the top three since its introduction for the 2014 model year.

“Subaru has demonstrated again that the brand and products consistently deliver industry leading value. For 2021, Subaru is taking home Residual Value Awards for the Subcompact Utility Crosstrek and WRX in the Sportscar segment. These vehicles showcase the variety Subaru has to offer whether it’s exhilarating enthusiast performance behind the wheel of a WRX or the confident practicality and style of the Crosstrek.” - Eric Lyman Vice President, ALG industry solutions at J.D. Power
